Part 1 of this assignment requires that you provide an overview and outline of your process and Part 2 requires that you deliver an \u2018off the shelf\u2019 methodology that is described fully in the Part 2 description.<\/p>\n<h2>Instructions:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Begin by setting an objective and scoping the assessment process to narrow down the approach you will take. The instructor will provide guidance on settings and sectors if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Choose a setting and define the geographic area where you will focus your work. This decision could be guided by the availability of information, your interest, and societal need.<\/li>\n<li>Create an overview and outline that shows the main sections of your full proposal as well as bulleted information about how sections will be populated.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Requirements:<\/h2>\n<p>You will submit a draft outline for review by the instructor. At a minimum, the outline you submit must contain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An outline of the sections you will include in your final report<\/li>\n<li>The type of assessment you intend to conduct<\/li>\n<li>A location, region or other defined geographic scope<\/li>\n<li>A statement of the objective of the work, including the primary audience for the assessment<\/li>\n<li>References or sources of evidence that will be used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The assignment must be submitted on or before the due date.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assessment Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This assignment corresponds to the following learning objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accurately describe and apply core concepts (learning outcome 1.1)<\/li>\n<li>Use evidence-informed climate adaptation strategies to develop or select feasible solutions, recommendations, and action plans (learning outcome 1.2)<\/li>\n<li>Use style, language and form of communication suitable for the context and audience (learning outcome 2.2)<\/li>\n<li>Apply a systems-thinking perspective (learning outcome 2.4)<\/li>\n<li>Identify and address multiple audiences (learning outcome 5.2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Weight:<\/b> 10% (Part 1)<\/p>\n<p><b>Submit: <\/b>to <a href=\"https:\/\/moodle.royalroads.ca\/moodle\/mod\/assign\/view.php?id=640600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Assignment 3 Part 1 Moodle drop box<\/a>. <b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview Assignment 3 requires that you work as a team to design a climate risk assessment process for a real-world sector or setting.
