If you wanted to link the learning to a specific day, here are some ideas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalchildday.ca\/\">National Child Day<\/a> (November 20)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkshirtday.ca\/\">Pink Shirt Day<\/a> (February 23)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/international-day-peace\">International Peace Day<\/a> (September 21)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/end-racism-day\">International Day of the Elimination of Racial Discrimination<\/a> (March 21)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/earth-day\">Earth Day<\/a> (April 22)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/irshdc.ubc.ca\/orangeshirtday\/\">Orange Shirt Day<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/canadian-heritage\/campaigns\/national-day-truth-reconciliation.html\">National Day for Truth and Reconciliation<\/a> (September 30)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldrainbowday.org\/\">World Rainbow Day<\/a> (October 2)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/refugee-day\">World Refugee Day<\/a> (June 20)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca\/eng\/1100100013718\/1534874583157\">National Indigenous Peoples Day <\/a>(June 21)<\/li>\n<li>Multicultural Holidays and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our recommendation, is that you integrate the learning goals in your daily curriculum. If you want some ideas, <a href=\"&#x6d;&#x61;&#x69;&#x6c;&#x74;&#x6f;&#x3a;&#x69;&#x6e;&#x66;&#x6f;&#64;&#105;&#105;&#99;&#114;&#100;&#46;org\">reach out!<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What are the learning goals?<\/h2>\n<p>The learning outcomes of the workshops are for children from K-Grade 5 to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Learn the difference between \u2018needs\u2019 and \u2018wants\u2019, how they relate to \u2018rights\u2019 and<br \/>\nwho can help protect your rights (i.e. who has \u2018responsibilities\u2019).<\/li>\n<li>Activate children\u2019s expression through their ideas\/drawings about what is needed for them to be healthy, be safe, be heard, and be myself.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce children to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and World Children\u2019s Day &#8211; especially the right to be healthy, safe, heard and be myself. This might look the same and different for children in Canada and around the world.<\/li>\n<li>Explore what the words \u2018rights\u2019 and \u2018responsibility\u2019 mean &#8211; and how they are related to child rights.
