This message was sent to RRU Faculty, Associate Faculty and Staff on 18 November 2021.
After consulting with faculty and staff, Zoom has been selected from a range of platforms to serve as our primary web conferencing tool in both administrative and teaching roles. This message contains important information about Zoom (adoption) and Collaborate Ultra (phasing out).
Zoom adoption
Zoom licenses are available now for all RRU faculty, associate faculty and staff, and will be available for RRU students in January. Faculty, associate faculty and staff should email avhelp@royalroads.ca if they need a Zoom license.

Additional offerings are available in 2022, please refer to https://pcs.royalroads.ca/ctet, to register for 2022 dates and contact facdev@royalroads.ca for a code to waive the posted fees.
Collaborate Ultra phasing out
Collaborate will continue to operate within Moodle until March 15 2022. The best option for courses that will run past March 15 is to use Zoom for any needed web conferencing. You can work with your CTET liaison for help with changes to your specific courses. It is important to plan for all recordings currently stored in Collaborate to be deleted or moved to My Media as needed.
If you have any questions please contact Keith Webster.
