Dr. Bill Danielsen, CD, DBA, MBA, BA<\/p>\n

Dr. Bill Danielsen is a senior executive leader with more than 29 years of experience across the federal government, defence, and international sectors. He has held some of Canada\u2019s most sensitive and complex leadership roles, including serving as Chief Information Officer for the Privy Council Office and the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, as well as Chief Security Officer in both domestic and international institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout his career, Dr. Danielsen has led large, multidisciplinary teams and overseen major national initiatives in digital transformation, cybersecurity, digital identity, emergency management, and business continuity. His leadership has supported government portfolios exceeding $200 billion and has included responsibility for crisis management and continuity operations in highly dynamic, politically sensitive environments. He is widely recognized for navigating complexity, building trust across diverse stakeholders, and delivering sustained, high\u2011impact transformation across Canada\u2019s public sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Danielsen holds a Doctor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration\u00a0from Royal Roads University, and a Bachelor of Arts\u00a0from the University of Victoria. His academic and applied research focuses on leadership, insider threat prevention, security, and organizational behaviour, with particular attention to the intersection of personality, ethics, and risk in complex organizations. His doctoral research examined how social bonds and organizational design can mitigate insider threat risk, and his publications and presentations explore topics such as the \u201cDark Triad\u201d of personality traits, executive leadership, income, and ethical decision\u2011making. His work bridges theory and practice, offering insight relev<\/span>ant to senior leaders, policymakers, and security professionals alike.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Danielsen is a frequent speaker and contributor on issues related to security, technology, leadership, and risk management.
