Uppahuak-Prusky\u2019s career has always been a public servant, where she worked at Nunavut Arctic College for fifteen years and was responsible for administration and corporate services. Couple of Elaine\u2019s achievement while working at the College included re-establishing partnerships with Greenland Inuit Cultural Institutions and being involved in the capital planning of the Main Campus\u2019 Centre for Inuit Excellence. Her current position is with Government of Nunavut\u2019s Department of Human Resources as a Director overseeing the territory\u2019s Inuit employment planning and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Elaine is currently volunteers her time as the Chairperson of the Arctic Children and Youth Foundation (ACYF), a Canadian charity, based in Iqaluit, serving all of Nunavut. ACYF\u2019s hope is that all Nunavut children and youth obtain standards of living and services like the rest of Canada in terms of education, opportunities, health, and well-being. Elaine is also a board member and secretary treasure of Nunavut Sivuniksavut (NS), of where she is an alumnus. NS\u2019s mission is to provide Inuit youth with the best possible post-secondary academic and cultural learning experiences.
