\u200bI currently work at the Department of National Defence (DND) in the National Security and Intelligence Review and Oversight Coordination Secretariat (NSIROCS) as a Senior Analyst. I transitioned to this position in 2022 after serving 28 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).<\/p>\n
I enrolled in the Reserve Force in April 1994 as a Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) officer and served in various roles at the community, regional and national level in support of the CAF\u2019s Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers (CJCR) program. I held the positions of Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) Strategic Plans & Senior Advisor at the CJCR Group Headquarters prior to my retirement from the CAF in July 2022.<\/p>\n
My major career accomplishments include receiving the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) in 2006 and 1st clasp in 2016, the Vice Chief of Defence Staff Commendation in 2010, the DND\/CAF Ombudsman\u2019s Liz Hoffman Memorial Commendation in 2012, and the Chief of Defence Staff Commendation in 2019.<\/p>\n
I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier (1998) and Master of Public Administration (Management) from Dalhousie University (2011). I am currently enrolled in the Doctor of Social Sciences program at Royal Roads University.<\/p>\n
My research focuses on exploring the concept of destructive leadership within organizations, beginning with the DND\/CAF. Theoretically, my work aims to advance the evolving literature on destructive leadership. Practically, I aspire to provide actionable insights that help organizations prevent and mitigate the negative consequences of destructive leadership.<\/p>\n
