I am a technology leader, researcher, and advocate for immigrant economic integration in Canada. As a doctoral student in the Doctor of Social Sciences program at Royal Roads University, my research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of economic integration programs for economic immigrants in Canada, with an emphasis on policy implications and best practices. This passion stems from my own lived experience navigating integration challenges.<\/p>\n
I hold a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University (2018), where I received the Founders\u2019 Award for leadership excellence and, more recently, the Doctoral Entrance Award. I also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Lagos (2002) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Ogun State University (1998). Additionally, I hold a Certificate in Project Leadership from Cornell University (2009) and have been a certified and active Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2007.<\/p>\n
With over 24 years of experience in IT\u2014spanning business analysis, project management, and software product management\u2014I serve as the President of Mopheth Systems Corp., a Black-owned technology company based in Calgary, leading initiatives in digital transformation, mentoring solutions, and community impact.<\/p>\n
Beyond my professional career, I am committed to immigrant advocacy. Through The Immigrant Life Podcast, I have reached audiences in over 100 Canadian cities and 112 countries, empowering a thriving community of over 1,000 members. My work has been nationally recognized, including the CNP Power of Inclusion Community Leader\u2019s Award, and featured in CBC, Business Insider, TEDx, The Walrus, Canadian Immigrant, and New Canadian. As a Board Director, I serve on strategic advisory committees at Windmill Microlending and Momentum, focusing on economic empowerment and community development.<\/p>\n
