Kaitlin Martin

Kaitlin is pursuing her Master’s degree in the Climate Action Leadership program at Royal Roads University. She earned a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York before returning to her hometown of Victoria, B.C., where she founded Silver and Gold Clothing, a sustainable apparel brand that she has nurtured for eight years. Driven by a passion to elicit positive change and bursting with climate optimism (and just a touch of anxiety), Kaitlin aims to leverage her skills and knowledge to reshape public perceptions of the fashion industry in an accessible way. Post completion of her Master’s degree, Kaitlin aspires to contribute to waste management policy, specifically targeting the intricate challenges posted by problematic waste, with a keen emphasis on textile waste.
