Patricio Gonzalez-Marquez, known simply as Pato, is a climate communicator, problem-solver, and committed climate action advocate. As the Operations Coordinator for the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN), he works to strengthen sustainability collaboration across higher education, promoting integrated sustainability efforts on campuses worldwide.
Pato holds a Bachelor’s in Environmental Psychology from Quest University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Climate Action Leadership at Royal Roads University. With over three years of experience in the waste and recycling industry, he brings a rich academic and professional background. Originally from Mexico City, Pato moved to Canada at thirteen, living in several places across the country before settling in the traditional and unceded territories of Lekwungen People. In his free time, Pato is a self-proclaimed “climate nerd,” an avid board game player, and a dog dad to Olly, committed to making climate conversations accessible and engaging for all.
