Joanne Perdue, Architect AAA, MRAIC, LEED Fellow, Canada Clean 50
Joanne has over 30 years of experience catalyzing action on climate and sustainability in post-secondary education and private sector organizations. Her expertise encompasses executive-level leadership and strategic planning, alliance and network building, organizational learning and capacity building, and translating strategy into action-oriented programs. She has led work in various sustainability practice fields, including climate change and energy innovation, healthy, resilient, and high-performance green buildings, and sustainability learning pathways in universities. A registered architect since 1991, she has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canada Green Building Council and a LEED Fellow designation from the US Green Building Council for her leadership in advancing the Canadian green building transition.
Joanne is currently engaged in research exploring the intersection of architecture, climate change, and resilience, focusing on closing gaps between research and practice. She avidly supports the empowerment of future leaders and women to accelerate the transition toward a regenerative future.
