Driven by a commitment to resilience and climate action, she\u2019s researching the potential for climate centric serious games to support an equitable energy transition, through inclusive co-design processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julie\u2019s academic journey reflects her wide-ranging interests and dedication: she holds a Master\u2019s in Educational Technology from UBC, a Post-Baccalaureate in Communications from SFU, and a Bachelor\u2019s in Computer Information Systems from the University of the Fraser Valley. She\u2019s also close to completing a Master\u2019s in Climate Action Leadership at Royal Roads University, where she\u2019s been learning about pathways where Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Western knowledge respectfully intersect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Senior Business Continuity Manager at BC Hydro within the Security and Emergency Management group, Julie contributes to enhancing organizational resilience, supporting a robust approach to crisis preparedness. Outside of her professional life, Julie finds inspiration in nature, whether mountain biking, foraging for mushrooms, or enjoying a quiet walk along the seawall.
