Marketers as a Force for Good – Open call for your stories!

Are you a marketing professional that is passionate about the planet? We want to hear your story. Tell us about your experiences as a marketer and contribute to important research aimed at understanding how marketing professionals establish their identity, who they are, and how they work in light of the sustainability challenges of our time.

Why does your story matter? The Sustainable Marketing 2030 initiative, a collaboration between the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and Kantar’s Sustainable Transformation Practice notes that with their unique skillset marketers are ideal candidates to drive significant change in our pursuits towards greater sustainability. However, many marketers are only just beginning to embark on a sustainable trajectory within their careers and respective organizations. Moreover, as marketers begin to do so, they themselves embark on an identity-provoking journey where existing knowledge, practices, and beliefs are challenged and even disrupted. Given that today’s marketers are at a critical juncture resolving the tensions that arise between the old and the new way, it is timely to consider how marketers are reinventing themselves in their own working lives and practice to be a “force for good”.

Participation involves:

  • 60-90 minutes interview (via zoom/phone)
  • The interview is anonymous and will cover career history, as well as personal and professional thoughts on marketing and sustainability 

Who can participate in the study?:

Whether you are a marketer who has just embarked on your sustainability journey or have worked on this trajectory for many years, we want to hear your story. Your insights and experiences will help shape the future of the profession, and help make marketing part of the solution.
