Her research focuses on community-based watershed management, drawing from over six years of experience in riparian ecosystem research and participatory mapping with academics and non-governmental organizations in Mexico. With her background in field research, GIS analysis, and community engagement, she is deeply committed to advocating for environmental justice and continuously learning from\/and embracing biocultural diversity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her academic journey includes a Master&#8217;s in Integrated Landscape Management (2021) and a Bachelor&#8217;s in Environmental Sciences (2014) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. As a researcher in the TRIAS lab, Carina is actively involved in co-developing an innovative visualization tool for integrated watershed management.
