{"id":2142,"date":"2022-01-12T17:13:25","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T01:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/commons.royalroads.ca\/studentlife\/?p=2142"},"modified":"2022-01-12T17:13:26","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T01:13:26","slug":"diversity-action-group-call-for-volunteers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/commons.royalroads.ca\/studentlife\/diversity-action-group-call-for-volunteers\/","title":{"rendered":"Diversity Action Group: Call for Volunteers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>January is generally the time of year when the Diversity Action Group likes to consider our events calendar for the coming year.\u00a0 There are a number of dates coming up in the next three months, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>January 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day<\/li>\n<li>January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day<\/li>\n<li>January 31, Bell Let\u2019s Talk Day<\/li>\n<li>February 1, Lunar New Year<\/li>\n<li>March 19, Holi<\/li>\n<li>March 21, International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination<\/li>\n<li>March 22, Norooz<\/li>\n<li>March 31, International Transgender Day of Visibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And on a larger scale:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>February is Black History Month<\/li>\n<li>March is Women\u2019s History Month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Typically, DAG facilitates some form of event or education campaign for the above dates.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>And so, we have some questions for you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are you interested in <em><u>helping to plan <\/u><\/em><em>an event<\/em>? If so, which event?
