{"id":2393,"date":"2022-05-11T16:41:41","date_gmt":"2022-05-11T23:41:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/commons.royalroads.ca\/studentlife\/?p=2393"},"modified":"2022-05-11T16:41:41","modified_gmt":"2022-05-11T23:41:41","slug":"changes-to-library-parking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/commons.royalroads.ca\/studentlife\/changes-to-library-parking\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to Library Parking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With construction activity increasing at the Rose Garden Cottage, <strong><em>the Library parking lot<\/em><\/strong><em> <strong>will temporarily be closing to regular parking during the day.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This temporary change to Library parking and a few related changes &#8211; listed below &#8211; will take effect on<strong><u> Monday, May 9, 2022.<\/u> <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s Changing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>6 a.m. \u2013 6 p.m. Library parking lot is closed<\/strong> to staff, students, faculty, associate faculty, and visitors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accessible and service parking<\/strong> will be permitted, and emergency access will be maintained as a priority.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parking is permitted after 6 p.m., <\/strong>for the safety and security of our staff and students<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you normally park in the Library lot, the Sherman Jen Building is the next closest parking available during the day.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>*New* s<\/em><\/strong><strong>hort-term parking 20-minute <\/strong>is available on College Drive, west of the Security office<\/li>\n<li><strong>Security parking<\/strong> will move to behind Nixon, no change to accessible parking<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shipping and receiving vehicles <\/strong>[Canada Post &amp; Purolator] will use the <strong>service stall <\/strong>on College Drive adjacent to the footpath to the library<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pedestrians <\/strong>will be directed to the south walking path that runs behind the Rose Garden Cottage.
