{"id":618,"date":"2021-01-13T11:45:42","date_gmt":"2021-01-13T19:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/commons.royalroads.ca\/studentlife\/?p=618"},"modified":"2021-01-13T11:46:59","modified_gmt":"2021-01-13T19:46:59","slug":"618-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/commons.royalroads.ca\/studentlife\/618-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Power Outage in LIC and Grant Buildings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To complete the work on the Nixon Sectionalizer, we will be replacing high voltage cables in the Nixon corridor, which is the area between the Grant and LIC buildings, next week, <strong>January 18<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 22<sup>nd<\/sup>. <\/strong>To facilitate the work, the <strong><em>power will be temporarily shut off in the LIC and Grant buildings, at the following times:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>LIC POWER SHUT OFF \u2013 short term outage<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, January 20<sup>th<\/sup>, 6:30 am \u2013 10:30 am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2:15 pm \u2013 4:00 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>GRANT POWER SHUT OFF \u2013 full 2-day outage<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, January 20<sup>th<\/sup>, 7:00 am \u2013 Thursday, January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 6:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During this time, you can expect:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electricity in <strong>LIC and GRANT <\/strong>buildings to be turned off<\/li>\n<li>Habitat Caf\u00e9 will be <strong>CLOSED.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Service Road between Grant and LIC will be <strong>CLOSED <\/strong>to all vehicles, except emergency vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>Parking lot behind Nixon will be <strong>CLOSED.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Back-up Generator will provide power to Emergency lights, Data Centre, and Guest Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will be no disruption to service on Moodle or RRU webmail for external faculty, staff, and students.<\/p>\n<p>Support from the Royal Roads community is much appreciated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To complete the work on the Nixon Sectionalizer, we will be replacing high voltage cables in the Nixon corridor, which is the area between the Grant and LIC buildings, next week, January 18th \u2013 22nd.
