With construction activity increasing at the Rose Garden Cottage, the Library parking lot will temporarily be closing to regular parking during the day. 

This temporary change to Library parking and a few related changes – listed below – will take effect on Monday, May 9, 2022.

 

What’s Changing:

  • 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Library parking lot is closed to staff, students, faculty, associate faculty, and visitors.
  • Accessible and service parking will be permitted, and emergency access will be maintained as a priority.
  • Parking is permitted after 6 p.m., for the safety and security of our staff and students
  • If you normally park in the Library lot, the Sherman Jen Building is the next closest parking available during the day.
  • *New* short-term parking 20-minute is available on College Drive, west of the Security office
  • Security parking will move to behind Nixon, no change to accessible parking
  • Shipping and receiving vehicles [Canada Post & Purolator] will use the service stall on College Drive adjacent to the footpath to the library
  • Pedestrians will be directed to the south walking path that runs behind the Rose Garden Cottage. Access to this path from the campus core is through the Library parking lot, access from west campus is off University Drive a few metres south of the Rec Centre
