Good things are coming your way! We’re getting ready to launch the new Library website — including the redesigned Writing Centre. Learn what this means for you.
What can you expect?
A better online experience! The new Library website introduces improved navigation and a mobile-friendly design that looks and feels like our core website. We’ve reorganized and updated content to make it easier to access self-help resources, ask a question or book an appointment.
Don’t worry, you’ll find the same helpful resources as before:
- Library catalogue and research databases
- Bookstore
- Writing Centre
- and more!
Explore the rich collection of self-help resources — LibGuides — with ease by searching and filtering content, much like the News section on our core website.
What about the Writing Centre?
The story of the Writing Centre website is about to enter an exciting new chapter as well. We’re introducing changes that reflect the Traditional Knowledge shared in the Four Feathers Writing Guide; in particular, the four Traditional stages of learning (Alphonse, Charles, & Bell, n.d., “Welcome/TÁĆELŚW̱ SIÁM”).
The Writing Centre is working to make the website as inclusive as possible so people with different learning preferences, communication styles, comfort levels with academic writing, and diverse cultures, backgrounds, languages, and experiences will find helpful information.
We’re here to support you!
As happens when websites change, links to resources need to be updated. We have a plan to redirect existing links and monitor any broken ones — but we might not catch them all. Contact your instructor if you come across a broken link or need help finding a resource.
