Laura Baird
Doctoral Student
My Indian name is Neetamayo, which in Cree means, “she who is from over there.” As a member of Tsawwassen First Nation, I am within a ferry ride from the Royal Roads campus. Laura Baird is a member of the Royal Roads alumni, a team member with the Correctional Service of Canada (2002). Laura is married with three children, and they all live on Tsawwassen lands.

Alicia Brown

Alicia Brown is a Solution Architect at King County, Washington where she partners with agencies to provide data, information, and decision-making tools to support their programming decisions that serve 2.3M residents.

Joanie Cameron-Pritchett
Doctoral Student
Joanie Cameron-Pritchett has dedicated her life to gender equality, workers’ rights, democracy and social justice. She is currently the Director of the Centre for Sexual violence Response, Support and Education at York University.

Serena Cataldo
Doctoral Student
Serena Cataldo is a social worker, educator and leader. For the past twelve years she has taught for different academic institutions in both the social work and criminal justice programs.

Lori Davis Hill
Doctoral Student
Lori Davis Hill is Onʌyota’a:ka (Oneida) Wolf Clan, Haudenosaunee from Six Nations of the Grand River who works with her team as Director of Health Services to improve wellness in her community.

Elaine Uppahuak-Prusky
Doctoral Student
Elaine Uppahuak-Prusky, Inuk from Arviat, Nunavut formally known as Eskimo Point; currently residing in Nunavut’s capital, Iqaluit. Uppahuak-Prusky’s career has always been a public servant, where she worked at Nunavut Arctic College for fifteen years and was responsible for administration and corporate services.
