Emmanuel Ndumu
I am Emmanuel Ndumu a current student of Royal Roads University studying Doctorate in Social Sciences. I addresses myself as he, him and I am married and a father of three children a girl and two boys. I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Management with a concentration in Public Policy, a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, both degrees from Bowie State University, Maryland, USA, and an Associate degree in International Studies from Prince George’s Community College Maryland USA.
Currently, I work with the Government of Alberta as a contract resource specialist with the Ministry of Children Services in Northern Alberta. Also, I have worked in Nunavik in the communities of Puvinituq, Ivujivik, Salluit, Akulivik, Kuujjuaq (all 14 communities in Hudson Coast and Ugava Coast), and the Government of Northwest Territories as Mental Health and Addiction counselor and Social Worker in Tsiigehtchic, Paulatuk, and Inuvik respectively.
Our societies, organizations and the world faces complex challenges that require applied interdisciplinary solutions. Thus, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Social Science partly to search for solutions to the challenges our communities and world are currently facing. Therefore, I am happy to pursue this doctorate and hope to use it meaningfully in our communities and the world at large.
