Jill Andres
Jill Andres is a participatory process designer, facilitator, and coach whose work supports people from diverse backgrounds and sectors to deepen their understanding of complex, societal challenges and co-create and test potential systemic solutions. Andres has facilitated participatory processes with people from around the globe, designed and taught post-secondary courses on social innovation and systems change, and has been sought out to present on these topics internationally. She is currently involved with an initiative in Winnipeg focused on Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #92, which focuses on the corporate sector’s role in reconciliation, guided by Indigenous youth and Indigenous community leaders.
Her research is focused better understanding how to co-design and facilitate equitable and empowering participatory processes that contribute to individual and collective transformation (mindsets, practices, and institutions) in the context of complex social challenges. She believes that these complex challenges will take the concerted efforts of individuals, communities, governments, non-profits, and corporations to address. They require each of us to come forward with the humility to better understand our role in the challenge, the creativity to imagine a different future, and the courage to create meaningful change that disrupts the status quo.
Andres holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary (Beta Gamma Sigma) and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. Awards include the British Columbia Graduate Scholarship, the Royal Roads Entrance Scholarship, and Queen Elizabeth II (Graduate) Scholarships.
