Michelle Davey

Currently, I am a manager with B.C. Government in a quality management unit. In this role, I support a process of external systemic quality improvement by conducting inspections of Provincial Correctional Centres, ensuring adherence to regulation, procedure, and policy. I am a graduate of the Master of Arts in Leadership program with Royal Roads University (2022) and I volunteer as the Vice President of the Vancouver Island Association of Women Police (VIAWP). Previously, I was a police Constable on Vancouver Island, during this time, served as the police co-chair of the Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee (GVPDAC).

Currently, my primary research interest is how the work experiences of female police officers intersects with the police culture. My research goals include identifying, addressing, and providing practical solutions to the internal challenges still faced by women in policing today.
