I am an adult ESL instructor with a unique background in the pharmaceutical industry. My career reflects a passion for fostering growth and development, whether through ensuring quality standards in manufacturing or empowering individuals to succeed through language acquisition.
I hold a Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development (MBA-CED) from Cape Breton University, earned in 2015, and bring over 10 years of experience as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance expert in the pharmaceutical sector. During my time in the industry, I gained recognition for my meticulous attention to detail, leadership in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and innovative solutions to complex quality challenges.
Transitioning to education, I obtained a TESOL Canada certification in 2020, combining my expertise in systematic processes with a student-centered approach to language learning. As an ESL instructor, I take pride in creating engaging, practical lessons that meet the diverse needs of adult learners. My teaching is informed by my global perspective, honed through years of collaboration with multicultural teams. Whether in the classroom or the boardroom, my mission has always been to empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
My doctorate will help me to add a valuable insights and skills that can significantly enhance my ability to help EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners communicate effectively in English. I would focus on tools and techniques that help learners in-class Willingness to Communicate in English (WTC). Overall, I am passionate about lifelong learning and continually enhance my teaching strategies through training and research in second language acquisition.
