These resources contribute to our understanding of remembrance and commemoration in the 21st century by exploring a range of perspectives on how war impacted the lives of people, communities and the nation.

      Equity in Cultural Policy

        This is a community-based research which explores the strategies employed by Indigenous, Black, and racialized cultural entrepreneurs in Western Canada to contribute to social good and community-building with their art. Their experiences are critical for the making of a more inclusive cultural policy in Canada.

        The Farm at Royal Roads

          By establishing the food garden and farm at Royal Roads, we will produce abundant organic vegetables, fruit, nuts, herbs and other edible and medicinal plants for use on campus and to share with the community.

                  Since 2015, IICRD has offered elementary class-based workshops with hundreds of
                  students through the Child Thrive program. To continue with these efforts, we have
                  adapted this program to offer this website to support teachers to adapt child rights education in your classrooms.
