Week 7
Overview
In this unit you will learn how to find and interpret projected impacts of climate change on related biophysical systems, and why they important to social-ecological systems and human well-being. You will examine the effects on the oceans and cryosphere such as coastal impacts due to sea level change and permafrost thaw. You will also consider the impacts on terrestrial systems of changes in hydrological and temperature regimes. You will consider spatial and temporal variability. You will learn how climate change is exacerbating global biodiversity loss, and consider the effects of multiple threat factors. Finally, you will learn about why regional impacts on infrastructure and communities such as agriculture, forestry, infrastructure, and public health.
You will be expected to post in the discussion forum for this unit, and your team will post its Lighting Presentation.

Week 7 Activity 4 – Continue Individual Practical Application #1 by adding to the Climate Glossary on Moodle: You may add new words from this week’s readings as well as provide comments on other students’ entries.
Week 7 Activity 5 – Submit to the instructors your feedback as an anonymous reviewer of two of your classmates’ WordPress blog posts Your will be randomly assigned two provide a critical review of two of the draft wordpress blog posts.
