Assignment 3: Resilience Planning Process, Outline (Team) (Part 1)

Overview

Assignment three requires that you work as a team to design a resilience planning process for a real-world sector or setting that includes an assessment and strategy. Part 1 of this assignment requires that you provide an overview and outline of your process and Part 2 requires that you deliver an ‘off the shelf’ methodology that is described fully in the Part 2 description.

In assignment 3 (part 1), your team will produce an overview and outline for what you plan to cover in Part 2. This outline will form the basis of assignment 3 (Part 2).

Instructions

  • Begin by setting out an objective and start scoping the planning process to narrow down the approach you will take. The instructor will provide guidance on settings and sectors if needed.
  • Choose a setting and define the geographic area where you will focus your work. This decision could be guided by the availability of information, your interest, and societal need.
  • Create an overview and outline that shows the main sections of your full proposal as well as bulleted information about how sections will be populated.

Requirements

You will submit a draft outline for review by the instructor. At a minimum, the outline you submit must contain:

  • An outline of the sections you will include in your final report, with supporting material described above
  • References or sources of evidence that will be used

The assignment must be submitted on or before the due date.

Associated Learning Outcomes
