Bobbie Dawson

Bobbie Dawson (She/Her) has worked in various leadership positions in the public and not-for-profit sectors for nearly 20 years. Currently the CEO of United Way Northumberland, an organization that brings resources and people together to make the community measurably better, Dawson specializes in organizational culture and communications change management. Specially trained in Indigenous Cultural Competency, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and LGBTQ Positive Space, Dawson seeks to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in all professional endeavours. An avid practitioner of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, Dawson hopes to study the impact of mindfulness interventions in the workplace under the foci of ‘Thriving Organizations’ through the Doctor of Social Sciences program at Royal Roads University. Dawson has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto (2007) and an M.A. in Professional Communications from Royal Roads University (2018).
