Bree Claude

Bree Claude is the Director of Family and Community Services with Strathcona County.  Bree is passionate about engaging citizens to create solutions for the challenges we are facing as a community.

She has been described as a dynamic community leader and catalyzing agent for change. Her secret talent has been finding and surrounding herself with amazing and brilliant people who are changing the world.

In her current role, she connects with diverse system leaders and community partners, including those with lived experience, to take action on seemingly intractable challenges related to community safety and wellbeing. She has learned that when we convene these formal and informal leaders, listen to one another with curiosity and try something together, a new future can emerge.

Bree has a degree in Political Science and a Master of Science in Human Ecology.

Bree has been immersed in social policy and practice, strategic planning, and evaluation in a government environment for more than 20 years.

She previously held Director and Executive Director positions within the Alberta Government in the ministries of Seniors and Housing, Advanced Education and Children’s Services.

Bree lives with her family in Sherwood Park, Alberta and is the proud mother of two fabulous teens.
