Cherolette Davis
I am a business educator with over 6 years of post-secondary teaching experience. I am skilled in delivering a broad range of business and finance courses, such as Organizational Behaviour, Introduction to Business, Financial Accounting, Economics, and the Business Diploma Capstone Course.
I hold a MSc in International Finance and Banking from London South Bank University, UK (2010), a Diploma in accounting and a Bachelor’s in finance from the University of Technology, Jamaica (2003). I also earned a Diploma in Financial Planning, CIFP (2016) and am a Registered Financial Retirement Advisor. In addition to my academic background, I bring over 15 years of experience in financial advisory roles within the financial sector – helping people with their financial goals.
As an educator, I was nominated for a teaching excellence award. I am a strong advocate for lifelong learning and fostering inclusive learning environments, and am a passionate servant leader. My mission is to create learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and supported, while fostering resilience, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.
My research is focused on leadership in a multicultural Canada – how to make a positive impact in a diverse Society. The purpose is to raise awareness of the challenges faced by culturally diverse individuals in pursuing leadership roles in society and to encourage systematic changes that enhance greater inclusivity. Through this work, I aim to contribute to greater inclusivity and positive, long-term social change that benefits current and future generations.
