Vivienne Momoh
Vivienne Momoh has over 20 years of local and international industry experience traversing several industries (energy, financial and education sectors). With specialties in educational leadership, international projects, programming, and content design, Momoh served in several capacities across Western Canada, Central Asia, and Africa. She currently serves as the Chair of Academic Upgrading at the Northern Lakes College, Slave Lake Alberta. She is active and involved in several non-profit organizations; and held the position of the Chairperson on the Board of Action International Canada for two years. Momoh has a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Calgary (2002), Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Benin (1989), and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary (2010).
Her research inquiry was birthed from her firsthand experiences as a parent of a child with disabilities. The motivation and purpose for seeking a deeper inquiry through a Doctorate in Social Sciences is to understand what informs institutional priorities and resource allocation toward infrastructure development for persons with disabilities in Canada.
Addressing this is essential in her opinion in furthering Canada’s society. It also encourages all stakeholders to the table for dialogue, to re-evaluate Canada’s societal ethics, sheds light on our values and questions our Weltanschauung (worldview). Dialogue in her opinion creates opportunity for new possibilities to be birthed, eliminates presuppositions, and encourages collaboration across sectors.
