Wei (Wendy) Gao
I am Wei (Wendy) Gao who is an associate professor at the Communication University of China. I have 15 years of teaching experience in the area of the history of cinematography and photography. I was a visiting scholar at the school of communication and culture at Royal Roads University from March 2020 to June 2021. During this period, I had been greatly interested in the cultural adaptation and what happened and changed among Chinese new immigrants. That is why I choose the DSocSci program at Royal Roads University.
I am a committee member of the Theory Review Committee of the Film Art Center at China Federation of Literary and Art Circles; A forum speaker at China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival and Shanghai International Film Festival. I participated in 4 story-film production and as a TV program director, produced 80,000 cumulative minutes of TV specials between 2002 to 2017.
