Begin Assignment 1 which asks you to write a short reflection on resilience and engage in a discussion with your peers based on these short papers. See Assignment 1 for details.

Unit 2: Assessing risk and resilience       Oct 10 – Oct 30 (Weeks 3, 4, 5)
Weeks 3, 4 & 5 (Oct. 10 – Oct. 30) Complete Unit 2 readings which provide an understanding of how resilience is assessed in different contexts, and how the concept is generally operationalized. Please also watch overview videos, guest lectures, and attend the synchronous session.
Complete Assignment 2 which seeks to deepen your understanding of risk and resilience by critically evaluating an assessment framework, a completed assessment, or a resilience strategy or plan. See Assignment 2 for details.

Week 5 –
Oct. 27
Due: Assignment 2: Critical Evaluation of Resilience Products (Individual) 1.3, 2.3, 2.4, 4.3, 6.3 20%
Unit 3: Planning for resilience         Oct 31 – Nov 13 (Weeks 6, 7)
Weeks 6 & 7 (Oct. 31- Nov 13) Complete Unit 3 readings which show how the concept of resilience is operationalized in planning practice. Please also watch overview videos, guest lectures, and attend the synchronous session.
Complete Assignment 3, Part 1 which requires that you work as a team to create an outline for a proposal for a resilience planning process for a real-world sector or setting. See Assignment 3, Part 1 for details.

Nov. 10
Due: Assignment 3, Part 1: Resilience Planning Process, Outline  2.3, 2.4 10%
Unit 4: Making change        Nov 14 – Nov 27 (Week 8, 9)
Weeks 8 & 9 (Nov. 14 – Nov. 27) Complete Unit 4 readings which focus on concepts and practices related to implementation and to creating change. Please also watch overview videos, guest lectures, and attend the synchronous session.
Complete Assignment 3, Part 2 which requires that you work as a team to create a proposal for a resilience planning process for a real-world sector or setting. See Assignment 3, Part 2 for details.
Begin Assignment 4 which asks you you to deliver a presentation on your proposal to a prospective client. See Assignment 4 for details.
