The main part of your internships academic component is an outward facing presentation of your climate action project. This might capture the presentation of the project itself (e.g., for dissemination of buy-in), or a presentation on the delivery of the project.
Captured within the climate action project must be a connection to existing initiatives, established practice and/or literature, how the project contributes to forward thinking action related to climate action, and identify leadership principles within.
Components of the project must include:
- Purpose and relevance of the project to climate action
- Why it is important
- What it seeks to accomplish
- How it captures diverse worldviews and considerations
- How it contributes to local and global communities, individuals, groups or organisations, political and strategic decision-making
Dependent on the focus of your climate action project, the project presentation might include several components. For example, it could include a policy document, a public lecture/presentation, a data analysis, or a community activity. While this forms part of the project presentation, there is a need for further academic substance that might not suit the project presentation itself. This could be in format of a manual, a project report, or extended documentary of the project itself.
