Unit 4: Reflection

Overview

First of all, congratulations! You did it. Your climate action leadership project is completed and presented. Well done!

A significant part of climate action leadership involves a reflective practice and awareness of the impact and sustainability or your actions/projects. You put a lot of consideration and thought into your internship project and final presentation, and now is the time to review and reflect.

How has this internship and the project you undertook impacted you as an emerging climate action leader? What have you learned personally and professionally? Where will you go next with this work or the learning from it?

What will be your impact and legacy?

Unit 4 – Activity 1

Now what… Beyond the internship and completing MACAL studies

Now that you have completed your internship hours and are in the process of compiling your final assignment, take some time to reflect. Review what you have completed during your internship hours, what happened over the weeks of this course, what you learned from and with the people you interacted with. What happens next, beyond the internship and completing the remainder of your MACAL studies?

Consider the key guiding principles for your activity related to the 4 Feathers Guide and develop your own questions:

  • Develop a vision (Eagle):
  • Gather Information (Heron):
  • Identify Knowledge (Owl):
  • Share your Voice (Loon):

Reference to the 4 Feathers Guide as guiding principles for this assignment is inspired by: Alphonse, S.R., Charles, D. N. & Bell, T. (2019). Four Feathers Writing Guide.  RRU Library.
