Shawna Adams
Shawna Adams is a Business Consultant with the Government of British Columbia. She ensures health analytics data is accessible for health system design and decision-making. Adams knows that success comes from connecting with people and connecting people with data. In 2022 she opened a Community Health Centre to add primary medical care to existing mental health services for the most vulnerable in her community. Adams is a certified Parent Educator of the Adler School of Psychology. She earned a diploma in Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology from Camosun College. Adams has had the opportunity to focus on people and research through her diverse education and work experience.
Shawna’s research interests focus on collaboration: within the healthcare sector, and the business sector, and how those two sectors integrate. Adams’ current research will investigate barriers to collaboration in and across the two sectors. Her research aims to identify opportunities to improve sector collaboration. As a result, Adams is looking to enhance current management practice knowledge economy. She believes that together we can do better.
Adams holds a Master of Business Administration in Executive Management from Royal Roads University (2012).
