Nkasiobi Nwoko (Nkasi) is an accomplished finance business partner and budding entrepreneur. He is passionate about leveraging financial access and technological capabilities to drive real value in developing economies. Hence, Nkasi will be researching alternative housing financing models with a focus on emerging markets where there are huge housing deficits, low home ownership rates, and ultra-low mortgage access rates.

Nkasi is also currently building CondoMart, a  real estate startup that finances housing developments, facilitates mortgage access, and operates a multi-sided digital marketplace so that real households can discover and purchase dream homes with ease.

Previously, Nkasi worked in varying finance leadership positions across various financial services, digital marketplaces, and technology companies. The most recent position was as Head of Finance for a digital bank with operations across Africa and India, where he successfully developed strategies to minimize credit risk and cost of funds, thereby boosting operating margins, while also driving growth in the loan portfolio. He also was Head of Finance and Head of Finance Operations for Autochek Africa and Jiji-Cars45, two automotive marketplaces with embedded credit offerings.

Nkasi holds a Master of Business Administration from the IE Business School in Spain, a Bachelors Degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and various certificates including from the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Additionally, he is also a member of the Africa Union for Housing Finance (AUHF).
