Damon Dyer

Damon is a veteran and leads the Canadian defence business for the world’s largest project management professional services company, delivering improved program management for complex defence projects and procurements. He is a member of the regional and global sector boards, driving the business’ main growth and expansion plans. He has led teams ranging from five to 750 employees in Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa on a diverse set of projects ranging from organizational change to in-service support for key fleets. Among Dyer’s achievements is the United States Meritorious Service Medal awarded for his work delivering international development aid to security organizations within the Palestinian Authority.

His doctoral research will focus on the how Canadian defence procurement leader can improve the likelihood of success on complex capability acquisition projects. This research aims to advance research into contract types used on defence projects, supporting the Canadian government’s generational investment in defence acquisition.

Damon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Military and Strategic Studies (1997) and a Master of Defence Studies (2012) from the Royal Military College of Canada (1997), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto (2005).

Damon is married to Nicole, a Registered Nurse and has two grown children. He enjoys fly fishing, fly tying and participating as a volunteer in medical/dental outreach camps in remote and rural overseas locations.
