Dayo Shobitan
Dayo Shobitan holds a BSc (Hons) Chemical Engineering from University of Lagos, Akoka (2002). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) of the Lagos Business School (Pan-Atlantic University). He is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School and IESE Business School in Spain (2008). He attended several courses and seminars among which are Institute of Directors – Company Direction Course on Ethics, Financial Stewardship, Accountability & Leading the Board (2012), also attended Center for Management Development (CMD)’s Executive and Advanced Management Training Courses (2012) and GE Crontoville (Global Customer Conference) in New York (2016).
Dayo currently works with Geogrid Energy and its affiliate companies as Managing Director/Chief Executive. He founded the Saramus Consulting Limited as Managing Partner in 2007. He also worked with CAT Oil & Gas, The Initiates Limited, Cyberplanet Limited (an MTN Trade Partner) in a General Management role and Global Hydro Energy GmbH, Austria as Trade Partner for Nigeria & Sub-Saharan Africa.
Dayo volunteered as Treasurer, Board Member, Synod Delegate of Diocese of Lagos West (Anglican Communion). Dayo is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a consummate Director, and Member of Institute of Directors (MIOD).
Dayo’s doctoral research will investigate, ascertain, and discuss the problem scenario and related gaps in the deployment of photovoltaics/hybrid renewable energy with decarbonisation solutions in order to close the funding gaps in electricity availability in rural communities. He will concentrate on the methodology, models, techniques, tools, and related business solutions in order to implement solar photovoltaic and renewable energy investment services in rural communities
