Delmar Tobin
Delmar Tobin is a part-time Professor in human resources management at Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, Fanshawe College in London Ontario. Tobin is a member-at-large of the London and Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership (LMLIP) Central Council, a not-for-profit organization designed to help newcomers to Canada integrate into the community. He also volunteers with the City of London supporting the implementation of the City’s Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (CDIS).
Before migrating to Canada, Tobin led human resources management projects in public and private sectors organizations in Guyana, which has led to his interest in diversity management. Delmar’s research interest is in skilled migrant worker integration in Canadian workplaces. His research aims to add to academic work on management practices in the equity, diversity and inclusion space, inclusive leadership, and organizational change.
Tobin holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Resources Management and Development from The University of Manchester (2009) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sociology from the University of Guyana (1998). He also holds a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation with the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
