Louise Traynor
Louise Traynor is a perceptively innovative not-for-profit leader in Edmonton. She is currently Co-CEO at Bissell Centre in Edmonton Alberta. Working in community, Bissell Centre removes barriers and supports people as they move out of poverty. Louise’s career path has journeyed through mechanical engineering in power generation, church ministry, chaplaincy, supportive housing, renewable energy installations, positioning her to excel in not-for-profit leadership with a unique depth of experience and unparallel array of expertise.
Louise’s research interests focus on the impact of corporate narratives on the functional ability of non-profit organizations to enact change. Throughout her career she has witnessed and navigated significant organizational changes that have been deeply impacted by the organizational and individual narratives brought to and created within the change. Louise intends to provide practical strategies to support not-for-profit organizations to navigate change.
Louise holds both a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (2001) and a Master of Divinity (2007) from McMaster University. She also has a Certificate in Social Innovation (2018) from MacEwan University and a Certificate in Renewable Energy Conservation (2017) from Lakeland College.
