Wendy Nadon

Wendy Nadon is a business professional with over 20 years of experience managing major change projects across diverse industries, including utility, oil and gas, real estate, non-profit, and municipal government. She is currently leading an initiative to upgrade Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology in the electricity sector. AMI technology encompasses smart meters, edge intelligence, communication networks, and the back-office systems needed to manage volumes of complex, granular data.

Nadon’s doctoral research will focus on a socio-technical transition underway at Canadian electrical distribution companies as the country transitions to a new energy era. Her research will bridge theoretical analysis with practical application to meet academic and industry needs in an evolving energy landscape.

Nadon holds a Master of Global Management from Royal Roads University (2019), a Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation from the Project Management Institute (since 2015), a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society (First Class Honours) from the University of Calgary (2009), and a General Management Certificate from the University of Calgary (2004). Her achievements were recognized at Royal Roads University with the Chancellor’s Award for academic excellence and the Founder’s Award for demonstrating leadership and personal development, and at the University of Calgary with the Silver Medallion award for academic distinction.
