Desire Omogbehin

Desire Omogbehin is a healthcare management professional, digital transformation specialist, and educator who works with healthcare organizations, leaders, and students to strengthen data governance, operational efficiency, and responsible technology adoption in complex care environments.

Omogbehin believes that effective digital transformation in healthcare must balance innovation with ethical leadership, accountability, and human-centered management practices.

As a professional in his field, he has worked across different healthcare facilities, and academic institutions, supporting initiatives in health information management, digital health implementation, project management, curriculum development, and organizational change. His experience spans consulting, teaching, and leadership roles, with a strong focus on data quality, strategy and system optimization, including evidence-based decision-making in healthcare.

Omogbehin is professionally trained and certified in Health Information Management, Project Management, Agile and Scrum methodologies, Public Relations, and Healthcare Support Services. He is also a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Omogbehin’s current doctoral research will investigate how healthcare leaders in Ontario perceive, govern, and manage the integration of artificial intelligence and algorithmic management tools in organizational decision-making.

This research aims to contribute to management research and practice by generating empirical insights and practical frameworks that support responsible AI usage and governance, leadership accountability, and sustainable digital transformation within Canada’s healthcare system.

Omogbehin holds a Master of Science degree in Marketing Management (Business Administration), a Diploma in Health Information Management, and multiple graduate certificates in Project Management, Economics, Public Relations, and Personal Support Worker training from Canadian institutions.
