Angela Adsit
I am a proud member of the Tahltan Nation.
Currently, I serve as the CEO of an Indigenous economic development corp, XDC, and also serve as the Director of Organizational Development for my own Nation’s economic development corporation, TNDC. I’ve also served as an adjunct professor at Algoma University, University Canada West (UCW), and Cape Breton University (CBU). I sit on the Indigenous Engagement committee at the UCW.
The Alberta Government appointed me as the co-chair with Paul Brandt of The Alberta Centre to End Trafficking in Persons. My primary focus is helping Indigenous communities fight human and sex trafficking of their members in and out of community.
I am married, a mom, and a grandma to 11.
Most of my free time is spent with my family. We love to hang out and travel together.
In the little free time that remains, my husband and I love to go to movies, eat delicious food, drink great wine, play canasta, and play the piano.
