Doreen Arrowmaker is the Chief of the Tlicho Government. The Tlicho Nation has four communities, is one of the progressive first nations, and has a comprehensive Land Claim Agreement.   She is the first female Chief to be elected for her community and one of only two women ever elected for the Tlicho Nation. Doreen has over 30 years of administration experience and has held various management positions.

Doreen’s research will focus on economic self-determination for First Nations with modern treaty claims. This study aims to describe and formulate an economic framework for these nations to reduce barriers. 

Doreen holds a Master’s in Global Management and a Master’s of Business Administration in Executive Management from Royal Roads University.
