Vonique Mason-Edwards

Vonique Mason-Edwards is a Manager, Contract Management at CAE Inc. where she leads a team of contract managers in safeguarding the organization’s contractual interests under the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) Program. Under the NFTC Program, CAE Inc. is a contractor to the Government of Canada and operates out of the military base at 15 Wing Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan.

Vonique’s doctoral research will explore the role of private sector engagement in the revitalization of rural Canadian communities. This study aims to develop a place-based investment development model for rural Canadian communities.

Vonique holds an International Baccalaureate from Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific (2001), Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and International Relations from University of the West Indies, Mona Campus (2005), Bachelor of Laws Degree from University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus (2007), Post Graduate Certificate in Legal Education from Norman Manley Law School (2009), and a Master of Rural Development from Brandon University (2019). She is a qualified lawyer licensed to practice in Jamaica and a serial entrepreneur who specializes in building solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and leading in rapid growth environments through strategic business analysis and creative problem solving.
