Wendy Nadon
Wendy Nadon is a project management consultant with over 20 years of experience leading major change initiatives across diverse industries including utility, oil and gas, real estate, non-profit, and municipal government. She is currently contracted as Program Manager for an initiative to upgrade Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology at an electric distribution utility in Alberta. AMI technology encompasses smart meters, edge intelligence, communication networks, and the back-office systems needed to manage volumes of complex, granular data.
Nadon’s doctoral research will identify and analyze critical success factors—including regulatory frameworks, skillsets, business processes, and organizational structures—to help Canadian utilities implement the latest AMI technology successfully. Her research will bridge theoretical analysis with practical application to meet industry needs in an evolving energy landscape as consumers increase electricity demand.
Nadon holds a Master of Global Management from Royal Roads University (2019), a Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation from the Project Management Institute (since 2015), a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society (First Class Honours) from the University of Calgary (2009), and a General Management Certificate from the University of Calgary (2004). Her achievements were recognized at Royal Roads University with the Chancellor’s Award for academic excellence and the Founder’s Award for demonstrating leadership and personal development and at the University of Calgary with the Silver Medallion award for academic distinction.
