Assignment 5: Change-Leadership Blog Posts 20%

These four blog posts serve as an opportunity for you to reflect and synthesize your insights as you move through the course and explore opportunities for the future.

You are free to find and use your own voice. However, where appropriate, you must include citations and references when drawing up the work of others. Remember that these blog posts are scholarly and should link to the literature (References are not included in the assignment word count.)

Each post should be research/evidence-informed, demonstrate critical thinking and adhere to APA writing style. Please limit your writing to 500-1000 words, which reflects the real-world constraints of writing as a thought leader for social or mainstream media.

Be sure to keep your work focused on the core theme of leading change for climate action.

For your reference, here is an overview of critical academic writing and a resource on academic blogging to get you started – no doubt you will find more resources as you go. As with all courses in the program, you will use your WordPress blog site to post your blog. We recommend that you craft your blog post in Word so that you can use the spelling and grammar check tools and the formatting tools that are available in Word but not in WordPress. Then you can simply cut and paste it into your WordPress blog site

Think of your blog posts as critical academic reflections where you are analyzing and synthesizing as you make connections between theory and practice. Don’t forget to explore the resources on the RRU Writing Centre as well, specifically, those focused on creating a detailed outline. You may also consider using creative commons licensing on your blog but that is optional. For more information on Creative Commons licensing see the resource provided on the MACAL program webpage.
