Overview
To weave together everything they’ve learned, not just in this course, but the program to date, students will spend four weeks working on Assignment #3, a climate leadership project. This assignment is structured to afford you some flexibility in when and how you work in recognition of the fact that this course is running in the summer months. The goal of the assignment is for you to translate the ideas and theories explored during the first four units into practice to tackle a real-world problem.
The bad news is that this will be messy and difficult. The good news is that there is no right answer!
We encourage you to view this assignment not as a task to be completed, but rather as an opportunity to try something new. You may wish to explore a new idea or tool, or capture and share your ideas in a new way, like a video or ebook, which you could re-use to support your career journey. Remember, the only way to change is to have a new experience.
As you work through this project, you’ll be expected to meet virtually with the Instructor in a one-on-one session at least once to explore your idea and check in on your progress. Additionally, you’re encouraged to share your insights as they emerge in the online discussion forum.
